DESCRIPTION OF THE PORT: A portion of on ground tank field with 45,000 m/ton storage capacity on 40,000 square meters area-belonging to Zulfikarlar Chemicals Import Export and Trading Incorporation, having activity nearby Yarýmca Gubretaþ Factories as chemicals storage facility, was leased by Turkuaz Petroleum Products Incorporation with permission of Petroleum Affairs General Directory. Tank field has been divided in two parts with 30150 m/tons capacity existing on this section can meet all the present time sequirements of Turkuaz Petroleum Products Incorporation.

The refinery capacity reached to11.5 millions tons/year with completion of debottlenecking and expansion projects. The refinery has three crude and three vacuum distillation units, two unifiner / reformer units, two FCC units, one sulphur recovery unit, one isopentane unit, one naphtha sweetening unit and related utility units. Crude oil and intermediate product processing capacities of Izmit Refinery in Turkiye, are given 40.000 m3/day Crude Units , 14.300 m3/day Vacuum Units, 2.200 m3/day FCC Unit ,3.250 m3/day Reformer Unit, 8.600 m3/day Desulphurizer Units (Sulphur Removal) , 3.650 m3/day Hydrocraker Unit ,3.000 m3/day Visbreaker Unit

PILOTAGE: is compulsory for vessels entering or leaving the ports and through the Izmit Gulf. Call Dekas Pilot on VHF channels 12, 16 three hours before arrival at Darica for through the port. Pilot Boarding Point which is Lat. 40 deg 44′ 89″ N and Long. 029 deg 22′ 66″ E.
TOWAGE: and/or mooring boat compulsory arranged by pilot and provided by the TUPRAS and additional tugs are used by the Med-Marine.
BERTHING: Tankers should ask for the berthing time and act according to instructions given by the port. There are One Crude Platform (Max. Vessel Size 300,000 DWT), Two Jetties With 8 Berths (Max. Vessel Size 100,000 DWT). All dolphins are fitted with quick release hooks. For LPG carriers 2 berths are used, also refined products carriers use the same berths. Crude is imported to a Sea Inland for VLCC and to the original old jetty for small tankers. The original jetty is at the Southern corner of the refinery at Kilier Bar. A new berth has constructed some 0.5 mile North of old jetty. The new berth is a modern concrete pile construction with a roadway out from the shore taking the pipes, with the berths leading of at 45 deg. With 4 mooring/fender dolphins to seaward, connected with a cat-walk. Vessels berth on both sides of this jetty, generally head in. Fender and mooring arrangement is good. This jetty is used for LPG and refined products. The Sea Island consists of a platform with three dolphins on each side. There are no connections between the platform and the dolphins. Fendering and mooring arrangements acceptable for tankers of 150.000 dwt.Vessels normally berthed port-side to at the Sea Island.

BALLAST: Oil ballast must be pumped ashore to the refinery. There is 750 m3/day ballast water treatment unit. Vessels shall not discharge into the waters of the port any part of the content of their cargo, slop or ballast tanks or bilges, which is liable to pollute these waters.
SHORE LEAVE: Crew permitted ashore with shore passes. It is forbidden to wander on jetty and in refinery area.
OTHER INFORMATION: All information about “Harbour Regulations” and “International Oil Tanker and Terminal Safety Guide” given to Master after berthing. The main engines of all vessels while at the berth shall be kept ready for immediate use. Fire Fighting Equipment must be adequately manned for fire-fighting and vacating the berth in case of an emergency.

CARGO HANDLING FACILITIES: The pipeline from the shore terminal is 700m. long. There are 4 pipe lines (1×6 inc., 2x10inc ,and 1x 14inc) for all products for loading and discharging cargoes. weigh-bridge 1x60tons
LOADING/DISCHARGING: Clean petroleum products are handled at the terminal. They are gas oil, gasoline (premium, regular, unleaded) and kerosene. The maximum allowed pressure on the shore pipe line for all products is 150 p.s.i. Vessels discharging at the platform are expected to obtain a minimum of 100 p.s.i. at the ship’s rail. At this pressure, the discharge rate would be apprx. 1.300 cu.m/hr. and the loading rate for products is for gas oil 700cu.m./hr. and for gasoline 900 cu.m./hr.
STORAGE TANKS: The following storage tanks are located at the terminal ashore; Foreign cargoes; 1×22.000cu.m.and 2×20.500cu.m., 4×5.250cu.m. Domestic cargoes; 6x950cu.m. and 1×5.250cu.m. Some tanks are provided with International Jet Mixers. All product tanks are equipped with fire fighting system and all shore tanks are as per API standards. Lube oil system; 2×60 cu.m., 2x50cu.m. base oil tanks, 1x10cu.m. and 1x5cu.m blending tanks, 2x10cu.m product tanks.

MAIN ACTIVITY: The Terminal, as a whole, is a bonded warehouse for bulk and dry chemicals spread on 25 acres at the Izmit Bay shore of the Marmara Sea. Bonded warehouse for bulk liquid and dry chemicals. We serve our customers for loading, unloading, storing, automatic drumming, blending, and automatic line blending for fuel-oil and gas-oil, also laboratory testing for quality control.
RESTRICTIONS: Mooring is carried out during daylight only, Unmooring is carried out around the clock.
MAX. DRAFT: 12 m for jetty no.2, 2.6 m for jetty B west side and 10 m for dolphin D3.

PORT DESCRIPTION: Sedefport is strategically located in the industrial hinterland of Istanbul and Kocaeli along the north coast of the Sea of Marmara. Two major highways less then 2 km away provide good access to the region. Sedefport is committed to providing fast and efficient container and general cargo handling, inland transportation and Ro- Ro services. Annual container handling capacity is 75,000 teu and stacking capacity is 5,000 teu. 800,000 tons of general cargo can be handled a year. There is 2,400m2 of covered area.
4,000m2 of parking area is available for trailers, trucks and other vehicles.

All piers are suitable for self sustained lo-lo ships. Refrigerated containers 40 points frame plug, 380 V, 50 Hz, 32 A. To discharge of flammable cargoes is only possible when cargo is discharged on “Free Out” basis.

LOCATION: Petkim is an industrial complex at the entrance to The Gulf of Izmit, near Yarimca. It includes the factories of Petkim to the North and TUPRAS to the South. A wide range of oils, chemicals, gases, bulk fertilizers and chemicals are handled. The products Pier which handhelds ammonia is in position
Lat. 40° 45′ 4″ N, 29° 45′ 1″ E. close by is a bulk handling berth with a solid quay face. The area in general is one of the main trading areas for overseas shipping in Turkey. To the North West of the Refinery at Yarimca is Hereke, another important shipping complex.

BERTHING: is usually type of tanker berth consisting of a “T” shaped jetty at the end of pipeline roadway. There are dolphins connected by catwalk to main pier, plus further isolated mooring dolphins about 50m. off inner dolphins. Container handling available in case of request, weigh-bridges 1x100tons, 1x80tons, 1x40tons.
Moorings are fitted with quick release hooks. Dolphins have good fender and mooring arrangement Vessels normally berthed port-side due to anchored vessels, making starboard approach difficult. But possible for starboard side alongside.

PORT OF DESCRIPTIONS: Nuhport is located East of Hereke district within the provincial boundaries and is connected to E-5 highway and then to T.E.M motorway by a four-lane high standard road.
MAIN ACTIVITY: Cement related products and coal imports. Also working is aport, offering berth facilities
to third parties. Although the port is mainly used for cement, clinker loading and own consuming coal handling to meet a need of the group, it is capable to handling all kind of bulk cargoes including containers and timbers.

BERTHING: The Company owns a private 250×65 m. L shaped seaport, allowing upto 50.000 DWT vessels berthing for loading or discharging for enabling the group to realize export – import operations easily.The max. depth is 11.5m..Max. allowed air draft for loading 13m. Height from the sea 7m.
BULK CARGO HANDLING FACILITIES: By making use of multi purpose crane, with a capacity of 650tons/hrs it became possible to load & discharge very rapidly the cargoes of the company arriving to our port. load/discharge effected by ship’s gear. Weigh-bridge 1x80tons.
CARGO HANDLING RATES: Loading of cement in bags 1.000 – 1.500 mts/day/gang. Loading of cement in bulk Designed capacity of system; 1000 mt/ph cement and 1300 mt/ph clinker. Unloading coal 1.000 – 1.500 tons/day/gang by vessels own gear. It has been equipped with huge capacity jet filter in order to prevent dust
which can be occurred during loading.
